DIGIPAK UPDATES
When making our magazine advert, it was easy to envisage exactly what we wanted, and when wed done all the stages to this we knew that we were happy with our finishing project. However, the digipak has proved more difficult to compose ideas for and to make to a point which we are happy with. I came up with the idea for the front cover, keeping it simple yet eye catching and exactly how I imagine was able to be accomplished with the use of Photoshop. The inside panels however proved more difficult to come up with an idea that was consistent but also worked with our indie style.
[INSIDE PANELS]
Here we have blended together screen shots of the band taken from the actual music video. There is a part in the music video where we pan along a wall where all the members are stood, with a lot of graffitti artwork in the background. This gives the urban feel which has been established in the music video, and continues onto the digipak.
In the picture you can also see that we have decided to carry this theme of graffiti and urbanisation onto the actual CD disk design. This also adds a vibrant splash of colour to the desgin.
Digipaks are very official pieces and so to make ours look more realistic we added a parental advisory sticker and our fictional record company logo in order to give a more proffessional feel and i believe it make the digipak look as though you could actually expect to see it on shop shelves.
